Paul, Kathy, Don, Something reminded me of your mom, then your dad, then I thought to Google your dad since I knew he was living somewhere in Northern California. His obituary popped up right away. So sorry to hear of his passing. Best of luck to you all. Roger

Dearest Walt, thank you for being a kind and caring stepfather for more than 30 years. As a family, we shared just about every holiday, birthday, Fathers Day and even every Sunday brunch. You have been a much loved member of our family. Most importantly, I thank you for always loving our mother and for your deep devotion to her. You both shared a wonderful marriage for over 30 years and both also shared your deep devotion to your Catholic faith. Sadly, you suffered much in your final years, but that’s over now and we pray that your spirit is rejoicing in heaven with our Lord. God Bless you, Walt.

Walter Traub was like a dad to me when I was growing up and living next door in Stamford, CT. I spent A LOT of time at the Traub house, playing baseball and football with Don (Donnie back then), and playing with the train set that his dad helped him build. I spent endless hours hanging out with the family, and Walter and Edwina would send me off when my mom would call me home for dinner. I always remember Walter’s collection of car models and all the neat stuff he had in his office. I remember many years later, up in Roseville, CA, he brought me in his room and showed me some of his collection that brought me back to when I was a kid growing up. It made me smile and made him smile, too! Walter was a friend to me and my family, and a wonderful father to Don, Kathy, and Paul. He was a great husband to Edwina, and in later years, to Rose. He was a very sweet man. He will be missed. RIP!

Grandpa Walt brought us laughter through his stories and his drawings. He brought us adventure, duty and sacrifice when sharing his war stories. He brought us love always. That is how we will always remember him. Love, Nicole, Alan and Caelan Naditz
